Important Information for Active Duty Service Members
Please submit your application, copy of your original
orders, and required documents to the Military Housing Office
(MHO). CLICK HERE to download the application and

- Military Orders
- Flight itinerary for service member and all family members
- Most recent end of month LES
- If applicable – Leave Form, DA31, Page 2, Surf (E1-E3)
ALL APPLICANTS REQUIRE A COMPLETED MILITARY HOUSING OFFICE (MHO) REFERRAL:
- The MHO Referral is a required document that qualifies an applicant’s eligibility to live in a Hickam Communities home.
- Hickam Communities works in partnership with MHO, but MHO is considered a separate entity. Therefore, the MHO Referral and Brief should be completed directly through the Military Housing Office.
- The MHO Referral and Brief can be initiated if you are already on island or arriving on island within the next 30 days.

Other Eligible Tenants
Important Information for Other Eligible Tenant Applicants
Please submit the application and include all supporting
documentation:
- Completed Hickam Communities Leasing Application
- DD214, Orders or SF50, and/or future DoD Hawaii job offer final letter (stating acceptance)
- Proof of Income, retirement account summary and/or future DoD Hawaii job offer final letter (stating acceptance)
Please note: A credit and background
check is required for all non-active duty applicants. There is a
$30 fee per applicant for any person over the age of 18; a leasing
consultant will contact you to collect payment. This is usually not
completed until a MHO referral is completed and a home has been
offered.
